Day 14 - The Soil Determines the Harvest
Scripture: Luke 8:15 - “But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.”
Growth is not only about the seed. It is about the soil.
Jesus makes it clear that the condition of the heart determines what produces lasting fruit. The same word is given, but it yields different results based on what it lands in.
Distraction hardens soil. Compromise weakens depth. Divided focus chokes growth. God is not only sowing new things. He is cultivating your heart.
Ask yourself honestly: What has been competing for space in my heart? Good soil requires intention. It must be guarded. It must be tended. God prepares harvests by first healing and clearing the heart.
Reflection: What attitudes or distractions need to be removed?
Prayer: God, soften my heart. Remove what hinders growth. Make me good soil for Your Word.
Practice:
Repent of one distraction that has divided your focus.
Refocus your heart on God today.
The harvest depends on the condition of the soil.
